When Marco Chavarria was just thirteen, he was forced out of his home. Life on the streets became his reality. Cold nights, hunger, and uncertainty were constant. But even in those dark times, Marco held on to faith, praying for protection and guidance. Knowing that God was with him always.

At twenty-one, everything changed when he met Karla, a woman who had also known hardship. Together, they found peace and built a partnership grounded in love and trust. Over the years, their family grew. Today, they have two daughters and are expecting another child.

God first provided them with land. Then came the challenge of building a home. The ground was uneven and covered in trash. Materials were hard to access, and every step of construction brought obstacles.

But help arrived. Neighbors joined in. Volunteers from the United States worked alongside the Dream Center, filling the ground and clearing the land. Step by step, the house rose, built not only with hands but with the help of his family and friends.

Today, the house stands complete. Inside are simple things that mean everything: beds for the children, a private bathroom, and a safe place to call home. Marco looks at his daughters and knows they will not endure the hardships he faced. They will sleep warm, eat well, and grow up in safety.

This home is more than walls and a roof. It is the fruit of faith, perseverance, and a community coming together. Marco and Karla’s story is a reminder that even in the hardest beginnings, hope and love can build something lasting.
