When the Community Seeds Grant was announced, Sintia never imagined her name would be called. She quietly placed her number in her bag, certain it would go to someone else. So when she was chosen, she felt shocked and overwhelmed. In the middle of a hard season filled with anxiety and uncertainty, it felt like a reminder that God had not forgotten her.
“The truth is God never forgets about us. He takes good care of us.”
Sintia has been part of the Dream Center for five years and has faithfully volunteered for the last four. Even while carrying many burdens, she continues to serve wherever help is needed. She often speaks about how the Dream Center has blessed her family—not only through food support, but because her children are learning about God and learning music.
She is raising three children: Jairo (12), who has autism, Maximiliano (11), and Abigail (5). Her family is also facing serious health challenges, as both Maximiliano and Abigail have been dealing with seizures and need continued treatment and testing.
More than anything, Sintia hopes to use the Community Seeds Grant to create stability for her family. She dreams of buying a freezer so she can store the food and juices she sells with her small business and earn income from home, and a tablet to help her son with school.
Why Community Seeds exists
Stories like Sintia’s remind us why this matters. Community Seeds is about planting hope in families who are carrying heavy burdens and reminding them that even in the hardest seasons, God still sees them and provides.
