About

Our mission

n a nation marked by poverty, and lack of opportunity, SPS Dream Center exists to bring hope and transformation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We meet real needs — from meals and housing to education and discipleship — while creating a safe place of peace in the La López community. Our mission is to help families not only survive, but discover purpose, dignity, and a future in Christ.

Our vision

When thousands are leaving Honduras in search of opportunity, we believe God has called us to create a place for those who remain. Our vision is to be a hub where children and families are discipled, educated, and empowered. We dream of a Honduras where the next generation does not have to flee, but can rise as leaders who bring change, opportunity, and new hope to their nation.

Our value

We are Christ-centered in all we do, believing Jesus is the true source of hope. We live out love in action, serving body, mind, and spirit with practical help and discipleship. We pursue excellence and stewardship, giving our best and managing resources faithfully. We invest in families and communities, knowing transformation begins at home, and we move forward in faith, trusting God to bring light and hope even in the darkest places.

A Place of Hope in the
Heart of San Pedro Sula

The SPS Dream Center is a non-profit dedicated to bringing hope and transformation to the communities we serve in San Pedro Sula and the surrounding areas. Our journey began in 2015 with something simple—serving meals and sharing devotionals from the back of a truck. What started small quickly grew into a vibrant community hub. Today, our Dream Center program is based in the La López community, where we welcome and serve around 300 people every single day. We serve in one of the most challenging areas of the city, where chaos, gangs, and hardship are a daily reality. But we believe God has placed us here for a reason: to be a beacon of light in the darkness. We want this to be a place of peace in an otherwise chaotic place—a safe space where children can play, families can grow, and everyone can experience hope. Our approach is holistic. Beyond spiritual growth, we bring resources that meet people’s endless physical and material needs. Each day, this looks like meals for children and families, mentorship for young people, and programs that build confidence and open opportunities. From sports, food distribution, education, and music to practical support in daily life, everything we do is to show families that they are not alone, they are loved, and they have a future. We know God has so much more in store—for the families we serve and for the Dream Center itself. Our prayer is to keep shining brightly, offering hope, and continuing to be a safe place where lives are changed and futures are rebuilt.

Pablo's Story - Why I said Yes

In 2008, ten years after giving my life to Christ, God began stirring something deep in my heart. He brought back vivid memories of my childhood in the orphanage where I grew up. As a boy, I didn’t realize how unique and blessed my experience was. Unlike the large dormitories I’ve seen in other orphanages, my brother and I grew up in a family-style home. There were gardens, about forty houses, and a mom who cared for us like her own. I grew up with eight “brothers and sisters,” and I will always be grateful for the safe, loving environment God gave us. The most powerful thing God reminded me of wasn’t the houses or the gardens—it was the people. The moms who gave their lives to care for us did more than provide food and shelter; they gave us love, belonging, and hope. In that moment, God spoke clearly to my heart: just like they made a place for me, I needed to make a place for others. At first, I thought this meant opening an orphanage. But as Kim and I began serving in many orphanages around the city, I started to see the deeper challenges: under-resourced programs, struggling leadership, children who weren’t always being prepared for their future—not because people didn’t care, but because they lacked support, training, and resources. At times we even met children who weren’t truly orphans, but had been placed there simply because they were found wandering the streets. Through this experience, God gave us clarity: the need wasn’t just for another orphanage, but for a hub—a place that could strengthen families, provide resources, and create opportunities so children wouldn’t have to end up in an institution at all. That vision became the SPS Dream Center: a place of peace in the middle of chaos, a beacon of light in La López, and a home where families can encounter Christ, find hope, and build a future.

Kim's Story - Why I said Yes

My story begins in 11th grade. That summer, I went on a mission trip — my first time ever leaving the United States. It was also the first time I truly saw poverty, suffering, and hunger up close. It broke me. My eyes couldn’t take it all in. I took pictures, asked questions, journaled, and prayed. Hearing people worship in Spanish on that trip changed me forever. I still remember standing with my arms raised, worshiping the same Jesus I knew and loved — but realizing my worship didn’t cost me what it cost them. They worshiped out of pain and suffering, and yet God’s presence filled that small, thatched-roof room. In that moment, something shifted in my heart. I knew I wanted my life to mean something. How could I go back and live a normal life just for myself? I changed all my plans for my senior year and began pursuing Bible school, knowing God was calling me into missions. The Dream Center began simply — feeding hungry children on the side of the road from the back of our truck. It grew into finding a house, then into an old concrete yard we transformed into a kitchen. Over time, it continued to grow, and today it has a permanent home — a place that feeds families, brings hope, and shares the light of Jesus with those living in despair. Some of the people now serving in our kitchen were once hungry children themselves, unsure where their next meal would come from. Today, as adults, they prepare food for families in their own neighborhood, offering what they once prayed for as children. For me, the Dream Center is about living for more than myself. It’s about building a legacy and knowing that your life truly matters — that it has changed others. I invite you to experience what I did back in 1997 on my first mission trip, and to allow God to break your heart for what breaks His.

“The Dream Center exists so the next generation won’t have to flee, but can rise.”
